Digital accessibility

Pursuant to Article 47 of the French Act of 11 February 2005 on equal opportunities, all online Government services must be accessible to everyone.

What is digital accessibility?

An accessible website is a website on which all internet users can easily access its content, including persons with a disability who use specialised software or hardware. For example, an accessible website allows users to:

  • Browse using voice synthesis or Braille (used particularly by the blind or visually impaired).
  • Customise the website display according to their needs (e.g. zoom function).
  • Browse without using a mouse, with the keyboard only or via a touch screen.

Browsing

Quick Access Menu

These are the first links accessible with keyboard browsing and they lead to the main sections of the website (e.g. browsing, search, content).

Main Menu

The menu is divided into four main sections and four main areas:

  • The Group
  • Local Authorities
  • Professionals
  • Private users
  • Map of regional divisions
  • Contacts
  • Media library
  • Press section

Logo

Clicking on the logo in the page header leads back to the homepage.

Search engine

A search engine is included and can be used to search for articles on the website.

Your browser functions

Zoom

Your browser has several default tools to help you browse the web.

  • Windows: use the Ctrl + + key combination to increase the zoom. The Ctrl + - key combination reduces the zoom. By successively pressing these keys, you can increase and reduce the zoom in increments. Also note that the Ctrl + 0 (“zero” digit) key combination returns the text to its default size.
  • Mac: in the combinations explained above, simply replace the Ctrl key with the Cmd key to do the same actions.

Keyboard browsing

This website has been designed to enable keyboard browsing on all the pages. In most cases, simply use the Tab key on your keyboard to successively browse from one clickable element to another in the page. Conversely, if you want to go back up in the reading, use the Shift + Tab key combination.

Printing

Keyboard users can print any page of the website by accessing the required page and then simultaneously pressing the Ctrl + P keys on a Windows keyboard or Cmd + P keys on Mac.
