Caisse des Dépôts and the Rethmann Group have entered into exclusive negotiations regarding the evolution of Transdev’s shareholding structure. Caisse des Dépôts has accepted the offer from Rethmann France, which aims to become the majority shareholder of Transdev through the acquisition of an additional 32% stake. As a result, Rethmann France would hold a majority share of 66% in Transdev, alongside Caisse des Dépôts, which would retain 34%.

Caisse des Dépôts, a majority shareholder since 2017, has ensured a decisive role in the creation and development of the Transdev group, a French group and world leader in public transport. Caisse des Dépôts will remain an involved shareholder attentive to the success of Transdev, a major player in sustainable mobility, in order to support its development in all territories.

Olivier Sichel, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Caisse des Dépôts

The final acceptance of the offer submitted by the Rethmann Group would follow the completion of the information and consultation process with Transdev Group’s employee representative bodies.

The planned transaction is expected to be completed during 2025, subject to approval by the relevant administrative and regulatory authorities.
