On 6 June on the occasion of its 2nd «Printemps des territoires» (Territories Springtime ), Banque des Territoires announced a new €5 bn budget in loans available until 2022, to support, through the French people savings, local public sector projects in the fields of education, mobility and water management.

After the 2018 launch of the GPI Ambre loan (€2bn budget) devoted to upgrading the energy efficiency of public buildings, Banque des Territoires continues its commitment towards combatting the territorial divide and social inequalities.

These new long-term loans, at the same rate as Livret A savings account increased by 0.75%, will complement market financing:

  • Edu Loan: a €1bn budget to support the construction, renovation and extension of educational buildings and their associated equipment, for periods of up to 40 years;
  • Mobi Loan: a €2bn budget to support investment in the mobility sector and to promote the development of innovative, shared, connected, inclusive and environmentally friendly modes of transport, for periods of up to 50 years;
  • Aqua Loan: this product was launched in early 2019 to finance works carried out on drinking water infrastructures, sewage infrastructures and rainwater management works and will now be extended to the Management of aquatic environments and flood prevention (Gemapi), with a €2bn budget, over periods of up to 60 years.
