Transdev: experimenting with autonomous transport in Giverny with Nimfea

Transdev

Mobilité

Transdev is at the heart of the Nimfea project: experimenting for the first time in France with a shared autonomous service that will serve the tourist site of Giverny from Vernon. Transdev brings to the project its expertise as a leader in the operation of shared autonomous mobility services and its i-Cristal autonomous electric shuttle.

This new autonomous transport project is in line with the projects launched by the Transdev group along the Seine, in Paris-Saclay and in Rouen.

Initially, a group of volunteer users will test the i-Cristal autonomous shuttles which can accommodate up to 16 passengers, prior to their public opening. In the long term, this new mobility offer aims to meet the transport needs of inhabitants, merchants and seasonal workers operating in Giverny, as well as those of tourists and visitors.

The ambition is to carry out experiments over 6 to 7 months, after the initial preparatory study phase, to which Caisse des Dépôts will provide financial support. This project is estimated to cost around €1.3mn in total.
