Egis will operate 3 essential roads in Congo: RN1 (Pointe Noire-Brazzaville, 540 km), RN1 bis (Brazzaville-Mindouli, 50 km), the former Brazzaville bypass infrastructure and RN2 (Brazzaville-Ouesso, 800 km in all). It is its first road operation scheme in Africa.
The first 2 roads will be commissioned as early as March. Egis teams will manage the 11 toll stations on the RN1, over 70 lines on which facilities will be modernised. Over 500 local jobs will be created along this axis.
Egis will operate these roadways on behalf of the concession company, La Congolaise des Routes, which signed a 30-year agreement with the State of Congo. Egis will therefore strengthen its presence on the African continent in the activities of operating and maintaining transport infrastructures.
