On 29 November, Société de livraison des ouvrages olympiques (Solideo) chose the consortium made up of Icade, Caisse des Dépôts and CDC Habitat to build Block D Les Quinconces in the Olympic and Paralympic Village in Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine. Heritage and environmental excellence are the project guidelines.
This city district that we are going to build, with Icade and CDC Habitat, is based on a dual ambition, both urban and environmental: making this district a world-class urban demonstrator.

The consortium, which also draws on the expertise of Egis and CDC Biodiversité, Caisse des Dépôts’ subsidiaries, will build a property complex of more than 48,000 m² designed to accommodate 3,000 athletes from around the world. The Olympic and Paralympic Village, which has been designed from the outset as a "legacy" project, will be transformed after the Games into a genuine city district designed for its inhabitants, providing a social and employment mix (652 housing units, 3,000 m2 of business premises and 9,300 m2 of office space).
To meet the ambition of the Paris Agreement and the environmental requirements expected by Solideo and the local authorities, Les Quinconces will integrate a bioclimatic design of the buildings, a 3,000 m² urban forest and a low carbon wood or mixed wood/concrete construction. The project aims for the best standards in terms of energy performance.
Construction work will start in 2021 and the property complex will be made available to the Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games on 1 March 2024, and handed over in November. After conversion work, it will be delivered to buyers and investors between June 2025 and April 2026.

CDC Habitat is also part of the consortium that won sector E of the Olympic and Paralympic Village: 53,000 m2 of floor space for 525 housing units, an office building, a day nursery and business and commercial premises that should accommodate 2,500 athletes and para-athletes in the summer of 2024, and future residents by 2025.
