Bpifrance

Entreprise

On 26 May, Bpifrance officially closed the first fundraising of the LAC 1 fund, with an investment capacity of nearly €4.2bn, including more than €3.2bn in capital subscriptions and €1bn in debt. This fund is designed to provide long-term support to listed French multinational companies.

Around twenty subscribers, including sovereign funds, banks and insurance companies, as well as the Caisse des Dépôts Group, are taking part in this initial fundraising alongside Bpifrance.

The goal is to reach an investment capacity of €10bn to stabilise the equity capital of listed French multinational companies thanks to long-term investors that are willing to support their technological and environmental transformation.

This initial fundraising is an essential step as it confirms the proposition that leading and internationally renowned investors will invest in the LAC 1 fund and recognises the investment history and expertise of the teams at Bpifrance for over 10 years now. During this period, a large number of successful, innovative companies with an international footing wish to stabilise their equity by benefiting from the assistance of long-term investors that are willing to support their transformation within the context of the technological and environmental transition.
