On 25 July Transdev Sweden signed an agreement to take 100% of the shares of A Björks AB, a Swedish public transport operator. This acquisition strengthens Transdev's position as the 3rd largest public transport operator in Sweden, with new services and markets, mainly for buses and coaches.
The acquisition is expected to be completed in September 2019, following final approval by Konkurrensverket, the Swedish competition authority.
A Björks AB includes 8 companies and brands*, the majority of whose activities are located in central and northern Sweden. With 1,500 employees and 650 vehicles, A Björks AB is the leader in Dalarna, Västmanland, Uppland and Gävleborg.
