On 21 March, the main federations of commercial lessors and Caisse des Dépôts called on their members to withhold rents for VSEs and SMEs closed down due to the Covid-19 epidemic. They will offer them repayment schedules without penalties adapted to their situation once business has resumed.
They have also recommended that their members study requests for payout suspension made by other companies affected by the crisis.
The solidarity gesture made by commercial lessors towards tenants is exemplary. I thank them for their solidarity. By withholding rents and proposing appropriate repayment schedules, they are relieving the cash-flow of small businesses. This is vital for them today and tomorrow, to help them resume activity at the end of this unprecedented crisis.

Icade announced on 23 March that it will study on a case-by-case basis for its tenants in difficulty, the implementation of the measures recommended by landlords' associations (FSIF1 in particular) to get through this difficult period (temporary deferral of rent for these particular cases).
