La Banque Postale was ranked 1st in the Retail and Specialised Banking sector (out of 98 banks) in terms of CSR by Vigeo Eiris agency, which raised its CSR performance rating by 2 points to 71 out of 100. La Banque Postale ranks 10th in the world (out of 4,907) all sectors combined.
This extra-financial rating (CSR = corporate social responsibility) showcases La Banque Postale's commitment to sustainable finance:
- Having achieved carbon neutrality in 2018 within its operational perimeter, La Banque Postale is committed to achieving a target of zero net emission by 2040 (10 years before the date set by the Paris Agreement) for all of its banking activities;
- In accordance with the commitment made in 2018, La Banque Postale Asset Management became at the end of 2020 the first generalist asset manager in France to have labelled 100% of its eligible funds with the public SRI label;
- La Banque Postale has made a commitment* to double by 2023 its outstandings in the financing of energy transition projects to €3bn, excluding any financing of fossil fuel projects.
Caisse des Dépôts holds 66% of La Poste Group's capital.
